What people hire us for

Christmas drinks. December fills up before you know it. Companies tend to book their Christmas drinks back in September, so calling in November is usually too late.

Staff party. Food that gets passed around the table, so people keep talking instead of sitting behind their own plate.

Business meeting. The place to yourselves during the day, with coffee and lunch included.

Client drinks. An address people remember, right on Witte de Withstraat.

What comes with it

Food — straight off our own menu: gyoza's, izakaya bites and the bowls.

Drinks — the Japanese cocktails, plus beer, wine and soju.

DJ — on request, when it needs to become a party.

Why here

The kitchen is open, so you watch the folding and frying happen. That is not set dressing but simply how the work is done, and it gives an evening something to look at and talk about.

How it works

A private hire is arranged in advance: a fixed date and an agreement in writing. Send us what you have in mind — which day, how many people, and what for — and we come back with what is possible and what it costs.

Capacity, minimum spend and the days it can happen we settle in that conversation. We deliberately do not put those on the site as a fixed list: Christmas drinks for twenty on a Tuesday is a different thing from a party on a Saturday night.

Note the difference: for a regular night you do not have to do anything. We do not take reservations — you just walk in. A private hire is the exception where you do agree something beforehand.
